As well as farming and being within a mile of our stock being taken out, John Ross was also at the time Chairman of NHS Dumfries and Galloway. In that role there was a real concern about the mental health of all those involved in the crisis. In his interview, John Ross tells our young researchers about the foot and mouth crisis from the perspective of both a farmer and as someone involved in community health.
